ProfIanHarrisImageProfessor Ian Harris is an orthopaedic surgeon and academic based in Liverpool, Sydney. He is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UNSW and has senior roles within the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Agency for Clinical Innovation (NSW Health) and national arthroplasty and hip fracture registries. His research is clinical in nature, focussing on the effectiveness of surgery, incorporating systematic reviews, cohort studies and randomised trials.

He holds higher degrees in epidemiology and surgery and teaches surgery and epidemiology at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
